THE PROBLEM

Unsafe Restrooms

Unfortunately, in the world we live in some peoples disregard for the safety of others can impact the most innocent of us, such as our children.  The trash that you see here was created by a single individual from one extended visit to the restroom.

Damage

Repairing damage such as what is picutured often costs more than the cost of our professionally installed locking system.  Then there is the issue of customers not having access to a working restroom.

Overflow Damage

Two of our customers have experienced overflow vandalism damage where someone went into the restroom, clogged a toilet then proceeded to flush it several times in order to create a substantial overflow.  In one instance, the overflow reached the dining area, resulting in the dining room needing to be closed until repairs could be completed and a health inspection completed. This damage was VERY expensive due to downtime.

Vandalism

Vandalism, until repaired is a constant reminder to your paying customers that you location may not be a safe place for them to bring their family.

The Cheap Can

Be Expensive

While keypad locks might seem like a good solution, the are more often than not, a disappointment for the following reasons:

  • They require batteries to be changed versus our wired solution.
  • They are vulerable to vandalism of the keypad such as soda being poured into them or being smashed.
  •  All employees need to learn a new code every time it’s changed.
  • Changing the codes  requires programming experience, something the average employee won’t likely possess meaning it will rarely get done.
  • Anyone within earshot of an employee giving out the code to a customer now has it and can go into the restroom any time they wish until the code is changed.
  • With professional installation, the higher quality keypad locks are close enough in price to our solution that it isn’t worth any potential savings.

DIY?

More Like DI-Don’t Even Think About It.

These pictures are of a location that had a coin mechanism which was removed for not being ADA compliant.  The business owner initially chose this DIY solution.   As you can see, one keypad (Mens room) has been destroyed.  These “Home Depot Specials” were never designed to withstand the rigorous demands of a commercial location let alone a location that’s at risk of vandalism.
